Nova Scotia’s top swimmers continue to compete at the 2013 Canadian Age Group National Championships in Montreal at Parc Jean Drapeau Aquatic Complex.
14-year-old Sarah Polley of the Halifax Trojan Aquatic Club had two personal best times in tonight’s finals; Sarah placed fifth in the 100m Backstroke with a time of 1:06.68 and eighth in the 200m Freestyle with a time of 2:10.94. Teammate James Cormier also had a personal best time today in the finals of the 200m Breaststroke with a time of 2:29.95.
Fellow Nova Scotia swimmers, Morrgan Payne of the Dartmouth Crusaders placed ninth in the men’s 100m Backstroke with a personal best time of 1:00.28 and Ben Henger from the Wolfville Tritons Swim Club had a personal best time with his tenth place finish in the 100m Backstroke with a time of 1:02.95.
Competition wraps up on Sunday in the pool, followed by the Open Water events on July 29th.
