17 of Nova Scotia’s top swimmers began competition today at the 2017 Speedo Eastern Championships in Etobicoke at the Etobicoke Olympium.

Madison Archer of the Halifax Trojan Aquatic Club was Nova Scotia’s top finisher of the day; she earned herself a bronze medal tonight in the women’s 13-15 800m Freestyle with a personal best time of 9:11.56. Teammate, Nicholas Bourbonniere set a new Nova Scotia 13-14 age group Provincial Record during the preliminaries of the men’s 200m Freestyle with a lifetime best time of 2:00.02.
