Another Strong Day in the Pool at the 2017 Canada Summer Games!

Day four of the 2017 Canada Summer Games brought many more personal best times to Team Nova Scotia at Winnipeg’s Pan Am Pool!

Top swims of the day included a fifth-place finish for Special Olympian Andrew Lowe, who finished with a personal best time in the 50m Backstroke with a time of 37.83.  Teammate Hanna Mountford finished sixth in the women’s 200m Backstroke with a time of 2:20.84.

The 4 x 50m Medley Relays were the final events of the day, with an eighth place finish on the women’s side (Hanna Mountford, Ava Vial, Isabelle Dearnaley, Sophie Casey) in a time of 2:06.53 and a seventh place finish on the men’s side (Benjamin Mingo, Matthew Croft, Lucas Seto, Riley Allen) in a time of 1:54.53.

Twenty-six swimmers from across Nova Scotia were selected to represent Team Nova Scotia at the 2017 Canada Summer Games this week in Winnipeg, MB.

The Nova Scotia swim team is comprised of 24 able bodied swimmers (12 male and 12 female), one PARA swimmer and one Canadian Special Olympians.
