Fourth Gold for J. Hannah at the Canadian Age Group National Championships

Halifax Trojan swimmer Jade Hannah earned herself her fourth gold medal tonight in the 13 year old women’s 200m Butterfly with a time of 2:23.20 during the third day of competition at the 2015 Canadian Age Group National Championships. Jade earned gold medals in the 50m Backstroke, 200m Backstroke and 100m Butterfly during the first two days of competition.

A total of 16 swimmers from Halifax, Dartmouth and Wolfville are competing this weekend in the six-day event at PEPS de L’UniversitĂ© Laval in Quebec.

The competition is split into various age categories, with approximately 860 swimmers from across Canada competing in the six-day event.

Pool action will be held from July 29-August 2 with daily competition starting at 9:00am for preliminaries and 5:30pm for finals. The open water events start at 9am August 3rd; race distances include 2.5km and 5km.
